Résumé
Experience & expertise
A decade bridging academic HCI research and applied human factors engineering — translating deep user understanding into systems that work in the real world.
Professional experience
Senior Human Factors Engineer
Guiding the design of high-consequence, safety-critical systems — human-machine interfaces and HCI systems. Leading task analyses, RAOC workshops, prototyping sessions, and scenario-led operability assessments; authoring HF requirements and conducting in-situ spatial review to influence design direction early and iteratively.
Research Associate in Human-Computer Interaction
Led user-centred design activities across digital health, ageing technologies, animal-computer interaction, and speculative design ethics. Specialised in participatory and creative methods that engage users as collaborators. Authored peer-reviewed work and won a Post-Doctoral Research Award (2021).
PhD, Human-Computer Interaction
Explored how playful, embodied, and situated interactions can shape behaviour, learning, and wellbeing — the foundation of the BrainQuest and Critter Jam work.
BSc (Hons), Computer Science
Awarded the Cooper-Walker Engineering Prize for Dissertation of the Year (2013).
